General Assembly
On 06.05.2026, we held our 3rd General Assembly.
It took place in the “Gewännchen” event hall in Remich.
A big thank you to all cooperative members who attended our General Assembly.
Overview:
Here is a short overview for everyone who could not attend. After the welcome speech by the President, our Secretary Daniel Schmit presented a detailed report on the year 2025. The finances were presented by Treasurer Gérard Willems, and the two auditors confirmed that the accounting was impeccable.
Our two installations are performing well, and we are currently working on being able to sell electricity directly to the municipality in order to increase returns for our cooperative. Keyword: e-community. More details will follow soon.

After the General Assembly, a few interviews were conducted. These will be edited together as part of our social media campaign and then published on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
The evening ended in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere over a drink offered by the Municipality of Remich.
Tree Planting Challenge 2025
You have surely heard that a big tree-planting challenge is spreading across Luxembourg.
We were also nominated to plant a tree. However, we thought that for each site, we would plant one tree.
So we went ahead and planted two right away.
Have you already planted a tree this year?
If not, then now is the perfect moment.
Conference on Solar Energy
On June 19th, the municipalities of the Remich canton invited their citizens to a conference on the topic of solar energy in Mondorf-les-Bains.
That evening, a number of interested people gathered at the citizens’ center in Mondorf, and the room was well filled. Mr. Martin Schmitt from the Klima-Agence gave an interesting presentation on the topic. The talk covered not only the installation of photovoltaic systems but also self-consumption and the sale of the electricity produced to neighbors and beyond. On this occasion, we also had the opportunity to introduce ourselves to those who didn’t know us yet and briefly present our tasks and projects.
Over a drink offered by the municipality of Mondorf, participants could gather more information about solar energy from the Klima-Agence and from us. There, too, pleasant and engaging conversations and discussions took place.

Information Evening at Filsdorf
On March 26, we were in Filsdorf at the Centre Culturel. A big thank you to the municipality of Dalheim for giving us the opportunity to present ourselves as the Energy Cooperative of the canton of Remich.
This time, it was the local figure Luc Mangen who guided us through the evening. He not only presented our goals, the projects we have completed, and our future projects, but also introduced a local future project in the municipality of Dalheim.
This concerns a project that is to be realized on the Dalheim school campus. In his closing remarks, Mayor Romain Kill emphasized that the municipality's wish is to realize this installation, consisting of three parts, together with the EKR.
We were pleased to welcome a few new interested people that evening, as well as to see some familiar faces again. This once again shows us that the citizens of the canton of Remich stand behind the EKR and its goals.
After the presentation, there was an interesting Q&A session, followed by a reception hosted by the municipality. We would like to thank everyone who made their way to Filsdorf at the Centre Culturel that day.
Information Evening at Erpeldange
February 12th we were at the Centre Culturel in Erpeldange, where we were able to introduce ourselves as the Energiekooperativ Kanton Remich and also present our goals. We also presented and explained our completed and future projects.
Since August 16, 2023, the Boulodrome has produced a total of 35.52 MWh of electricity. The installation at the School of Mondorf, which has been running since November 11, 2024, has produced a total of 5.02 MWh of electricity. (Situation of February 17, 2025)
The project concerning the Centre Culturel, where this information evening took place, was also presented. The installation in Erpeldange is expected to be a 20.80 kWp system that will produce electricity for 8 single-family houses. The investment is estimated at around 23,000€.
After the presentation, there was an interesting Q&A session, and afterward, the municipality invited everyone for a drink.
We would like to thank everyone who found their way to Erpeldange at the Centre Culturel on that day.
Commissioning of the second PV system
On November 12, 2024, the second PV system of EKR was inaugurated together with the electric stations from Petro-Center. This system could only be realized with the support of its members. Minister Lex Delles did not miss the opportunity to be present at the double inauguration. We are extremely pleased with his support, as well as that of Mayor Steve Reckel and the team from the municipality of Mondorf.
